Elaine is a fashion designer and fiction writer, and has worked in Italy, the US, and the UK, for over twenty years. She continues to work freelance as a designer in order to fund her writing, as well as provide ample research opportunities for her stories.
Combining her artist’s eye, writer’s mind, quiet determination and razor-sharp gut instincts, Elaine creates stories through words, fashion and art. Her search for inspiration keeps her moving frequently to new things and new places, always looking and listening as she goes, on the lookout for a new chapter in one of her stories.
She lives in London and the North Essex coast with her partner, John, and their chocolate labrador, Jeff.
Elaine has completed several short stories, and her first novel, ‘Smoke and Broken Mirrors’, which she began writing during her time at The Faber Academy. It has since been informally optioned in the U.S. for a T.V. series. The novel remains unpublished, while she begins her second, and is still seeking agent representation.
